FOREMAN – CARPENTER BACKGROUND REQUIRED

Sherlock Recruitment is currently seeking 1 experienced Working Foreman with a strong Carpentry background for a residential renovation and extension project.

Job Details:

  • Position: Working Foreman – Carpenter Background
  • Location: Dublin
  • Start Date: 1st November 2026
  • Duration: 4 months
  • Hours: 8:00am–5:00pm
  • Parking: Available on site
  • Induction: On site

Requirements:

  • Strong carpentry background
  • Previous Working Foreman / Site Foreman experience
  • Safe Pass
  • Manual Handling

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day running of the residential renovation and extension project
  • Supervise trades and subcontractors
  • Coordinate plumbing, electrical, demolition, carpentry, plastering, roofing and other trades
  • Organise the sequence of works and coordinate deliveries
  • Read drawings and work to project specifications
  • Check the quality and standard of subcontractor work
  • Liaise with the client, architect, engineers and subcontractors
  • Identify and resolve issues on site
  • Monitor progress, materials, labour and subcontractor attendance
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed
  • Oversee snagging and completion of outstanding works
  • Take the project through to final completion and handover
