Civils Construction Crew (Groundworker, Banksman, Machine Operator) – Ennis

Responsibilities

Groundworker:

• Perform ground preparation, excavation, and trenching tasks.
• Lay foundations, drainage systems, and other essential groundwork.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Banksman:

• Direct and guide vehicles and machinery on-site to ensure safe operations.
• Communicate effectively with drivers and operators to prevent accidents.
• Monitor site activities and report any safety concerns.
• Assist with general site duties as required.

Machine Operator:

• Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, and other plant equipment.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues.
• Work closely with the Banksman to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and site regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in civil engineering or construction roles.
• Relevant certifications for each role (e.g., CSCS card, CPCS/NPORS for Machine Operators).
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements.

Day-to-Day

• Collaborate with team members to complete daily tasks efficiently and safely.
