Overview
We are seeking a skilled Excavator Driver to join our construction team in Kilkenny, Wicklow, Wexford. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating a 360 excavator and will be responsible for safely and efficiently digging trenches, spreading and moving materials, and assisting with various construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain a 360 excavator in a safe and efficient manner
- Excavate and move earth, rock, and other materials according to project specifications
- Safely operate the equipment near underground and overhead utilities, structures, and other objects
- Perform routine maintenance on the excavator and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures on the construction site
- Communicate effectively with the construction team to ensure work is completed accurately and on time
Qualifications
- Valid Excavator Operator Certification
- Proven experience as an Excavator Driver in the construction industry
- Knowledge of and commitment to safety regulations and procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing conditions
- Physical strength and stamina to perform the duties of the role
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from the job site
